Eating disorders are usually divided into three main types: anorexia, bulimia and compulsive eating.

In all forms of eating disorders are considered the focus on food and body as symptoms of underlying psychological problems.

When anorexia patient attempts consciously to lose weight even if their weight is basically normal. The person often has a distorted perception of their own bodies. The disorder often causes severe hormonal disorders and delayed development in very young people.

At bulimia have been repeated bouts of overeating and are overly concerned with control of body weight. The person often uses extreme methods to purify themselves by over eating, such as bowel medications or induced vomiting.

When forced eating, we often have a similar eating patterns in bulimia, but the person keeps the food. Binge eating can lead to obesity, but also to large weight fluctuations or normal weight at that person over exercising or dieting periods.
